In April of 2009 a very close friend of mine, Jennifer, had her second baby. I was already 7 months-in with my third and was telling her about cloth diapers and how they are, well…awesome. Another friend of mine, Rebecca was there with us. Rebecca is single with no kids and the last thing she wanted to talk about was diapers. She was VERY un-interested in all the ‘diapertalk’ to say the least. She said, “Vikki you know way too much about cloth diapers for any normal person! You should start a business.” Of course I was not thinking about adding yet ANOTHER thing to my plate. I was envisioning my 3.5 yr old twin boys destroying my living room and my newest one getting in on the action too! How would I start and run my own business out of my house AND raise three little boys? Well, here we are 3 months later and Voila! The business is open! My friends have been a HUGE encouragement through this and well…quite frankly when God’s involved, things happen without much effort on our part! So, I carted all three kids (in the pouring rain, mind you, 3 minutes before closing) to Everett Road to get my DBA, ordered my products online, had no business plan (or sense for that matter!) and now we are in full swing. I have to laugh!

I cloth diapered my twins from about 10 months until they were potty trained at 2y10m (they WERE going to pre-school!). We did what we could, when we could and this seemed to work for our family. By this I mean that sometimes we used disposable but most of the time we used cloth. If there was a diaper service available I would have cloth diapered the twins full-time. Now we are cloth diapering our third son on a full-time basis.

So currently I am a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom) who is turning into a WFHM (work-from-home-mom) if that’s even an acronym?!?! My husband, Feryan, and I have three boys (YES GOD BLESS US! Ha ha ha) and we (really…my husband is soooo on board with cloth!) are so excited to help you and your family get comfortable with cloth diapering and figure out where it can fit into your family.
